Christmas Card Mailbox
Materials needed
Chipboard mailbox
Several sheets of your favorite Christmas patterned paper (Sample used Basic Gray)
Adhesive
Brayer
Glimmer Mist spray
7 Gypsies knob
Ribbon to accent your papers
Stickles - again, a color to accent your paper
Stickers
rub-ons for spelling out Christmas Cards on the tag (Sample used Quickutz Vixen font)
Several brads 4 Round objects for feet (optional)
Directions
1. Carefully remove elastic closure and knob for later.
2. Using your mailbox as a pattern, cut out pieces to cover back, front, inside and outside, trimming to fit. *See note below
3. Adhere papers inside and out using adhesive, and with a brayer, rub over all pieces to insure they stick
4. Make tag from several contrasting papers
5. Apply letters to tag and outline each with Stickles
6. Using a decorative element from your papers, cut out several copies and stack together (to form a flower or other motif).
7. Outline flower petals with Stickles.
8. Punch a hole in the mailbox and insert a brad to secure your flower, and another hole and brad to affix the tag
9. Spray Glimmer Mist all over the covered mailbox before adhering your ribbon along the bottom edges.
10. If desired, glue feet to the mailbox (Sample used round gold plastic grapes from a decorative Christmas pick)
11. If desired, using leftover letters, spell out the family name on one side of the box, and the year on the front.
Tips
, a standard 12x12 piece of paper will not completely cover the top of the mailbox. Therefore, leave a small margin on both side edges that will be covered with ribbon at the end.
