Whim So Doodle offers monthly continuing educational classes to introduce you to new techniques and keep you inspired. In addition to educational classes we have a variety of specially classes each month to take your scrapbooking to the next level. We have a talented team of instructors that are eager to share their personal crafting style, tips and techniques with you!




All classes require “basic tools” and some require additional tools for the project.

 Beginners Crop

Friday June 25th 6-9pm

Continue your education with this guided crop geared to help beginners learn how to choose the right layout elements to work with their photos.  Vickie will be on hand to offer advice, offer layout help and be able to answer any of your questions.  To sign up for this crop you must have taken Scrapbooking 101 & 201 with Vickie.

Copic Club

Thursday June 17th 6-8pm
Saturday June 26th 10am-Noon

The Doodle’s 6-month club is a technique driven workshop focusing on learning all about Copic markers.  You’ll meet monthly to work on cards and card embellishments that will introduce a new technique each month.  You will also   receive FREE Copic Sketch markers and a special club discount on club nights every month!  If you pay for all 6 months in advance, you’ll get 2 more FREE Sketch markers!  This club is being taught by one of Whim So Doodle’s FOUR  Certified Copic Designers,  Liz Thogersen.

Creative Cafe

Every Tuesday from 5-6pm

Come get creative at the Creative Café Art Bar!  Each Tuesday evening from 5-6 pm we will debut a new     project with beautiful new products.  If you cannot make the Tuesday evening make-n-take, you can come from Wednesday to Saturday to create that weeks project!  

Fee: $(varies from 3-15)


 Embrace Workshop

Thursday June 10th 9:30 am-11 am
Monday June 14th 6-8 pm
Thursday June 24th 9:30 am-11 am

This monthly workshop puts a brand new twist on the traditional book club.  Each month you’ll get        together with other women of faith to enjoy fellowship while discussing and studying God’s word through various Christian books.  Along with the book discussion, you’ll also spend some time creating a treasure box that you can fill with God’s  blessings in your life.  Through the summer months Jill will be reading through Crazy Love, by Francis Chen which will be offered at the store at a discount with proceeds going to support K-Life.

Kid’s Camp

Each week campers will get to create a variety of scrapbooking and paper craft projects using different art      mediums.  Projects include magnetic bulletin boards, mini scrapbook alums, picture frames, home décor projects and much more!  Each week will be a different project so campers can come to more than one week.  Check with a Doodle Diva for each week’s project line up.

Scrap-A-Doodle Crop

We have two ways for you to come and play in our creative playground-Friday night from 5 PM to 11 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 10 PM!  That gives you plenty of time away from the responsibilities of every day life where you can just hang at the Doodle and work on your projects.  Each crop session will include drinks, light munchies and use of our non-consumable workshop tools and equipment.

Scrapbooking 101 & 201

101 Tuesday June 1st 6-8 pm

In this two part class you will learn all the basics of scrapbooking your photos.  Vickie will teach you how to organize your photos, choose the perfect paper for your layouts, what tools and albums are best for your projects and how to preserve your memories.

The Perfect Trip Mini Album

Saturday June 12th 10 am - 1 pm

This handmade 4x4 album is embellished with various colorful paper lines and is full of  7 Gypsies and Tim Holtz trinkets.  Every other page is stamped with a circle journaling block so you can journal about the photo you just took.  When you get back add your printed photos.  During the class Leisa will give you tips and tricks on how to carry a small journal pack to help you enhance your mini album.  This little album is the perfect way to travel!

QuicKutz Klub Meeting
This is the monthly meeting held either the 3rd Tuesday of each month or the following Saturday for all QuicKutz Klub Members.  Each month in the year 2010 you will be making a month divider for your ongoing PERPETUAL CALENDAR.  To attend you must be a QuicKutz Klub Member and register for the meeting in advance. 

You must bring to each meeting:  Your basic adhesives, scissors, paper trimmer and black/grey pens.

UTEE Tile Picture Frame

Thursday June 3rd 6-8 pm

Come create your own tile frame using Ultra Thick Embossing Powder. We will learn how to melt down the UTEE and mold it into 1 1/4" clear tiles to glue on the picture frame. You get to bring your own paper and embellishments so your frame relects your personality! Make one for yourself or to give as a gift.

Fee $30

Students MUST come to class with 25 pre-cut 1 1/4" squares and any embellishments to put into the tiles.

That’s right!  Your pictures called and they said that they are tired of being left in boxes!  They want to be put into albums.  You will be able to get pages done in this mini-class where you’ll create a two-sided, layout in one hour!  This is the perfect class for working gals who need a creative break, moms with an hour to spare and those who just want to get back to the basics of scrapbooking.

Cricut Clinic
Did you purchase a Cricut and don't have a clue how to use it?  Is it still sitting in the box?  Well dust it off and bring it in for our Cricut Clinic!  The clinic hosted by our resident Queen of the Cricut, Dianne, will meet on the third Sunday of each month from 12-4 pm.  You'll learn the basics of using your machine, tips from the expert and great ideas for projects you can create using this versatile machine!  You will quickly understand why it is so loved by many and has become such a popular die cutting machine.   You'll need to bring at least one cartridge with you.

Embrace Workshop



Life’s A Beach
Let Carol help you with your next vacation! While she can’t help you pack or buy your airline tickets for you…

she CAN help you get a cool journal pre-made for all your vacation notes and photos! Using a simple composition

book, some pretty beach-y papers and a few embellishments, Carol will teach you some cool techniques for

getting this book done in advance, as well as some ideas for working on it (and finishing it!) while on your trip.

You’ll come back from your vacation with a completed photo journal – how cool is that?! Now if Carol could

only help with those after-vacation piles of laundry…

These photos
Do you take a lot of photos on vacation? Then this is the perfect way to showcase your favorite travel photos. Using 7 gypsy portfolios you will create a journal log  that holds 15 5x7 cards stamped with a post card greeting that is perfect for journaling your vacation story. There is some altered art inside the portfolios so be prepared to get messy.
