"10 Things I Love About You" Altered Printer Tray What to bring: Various size circle punches, Ranger Glossy Accents, Adhesives for paper and bulky items, and pop dots, Photos (print them at size 2.75"x3.75" or trim them down to that size), 10 short sentences about the person you are making the decor for printed in white/cream cardstock (we will cut them in strips), Trimmer, Scissors, Baby wipes Art Quilt Landscape art.ol.ogy All of 2012’s art.ol.ogy workshops will be a repeat of last year’s 12 techniques for those who are just getting into the Tim Holtz inky techniques or those who missed a workshop last year. Each month Jill will pick a new product and teach you new tips and techniques. Every workshop is hands-on, so come ready to get a little inky! This is the only workshop we offer that you aren’t required to bring anything, just yourself! Jill will provide you with all the materials you need for the techniques plus 10 #8 tags to use with written instructions for each technique. This month we will be starting our art.ol.ogy workshop from the beginning of the Ranger U technique tag book with “Distress Ink”. Love Notes: Valentines Card Keeper Instructor: Kelly Boyden Date: February 11th Time: 10:00am-1:00pm Cost: $35.00 Create a home to organize and save all the little love notes, valentines cards and keepsakes that you have collected over time. We will be using the new Paper Heart Collection from Crate Paper to make this fun and easy storage Mini. There will be lots of techniques as we use paper, envelopes, tags, ribbons, Dresden foil, and more to make our cheery pocket pages. Note: Some items in class kit may vary slightly. "Oopsie the Octopus" Sew Oopsie the sea creature....this is my favorite "baby gift" to make.... You must have basic sewing machine experience. Machines are available for class use. We will sew strips of fabric together and then cut out the pattern....stuff...and finish with some hand sewing. What to bring: fabric and pattern and stuffing included. 2012 Journal Album Designed and taught by Debby Schuh. A new year is upon us and it's the perfect time to make this chubby little 2012 album using the Melissa Frances calendar album, 6x6 page protectors, and a darling assortment of colorful products from October Afternoon. The 36 pages of this album include a tabbed divider page for each month, a pocket page for each month with a calendar printed on it, and a page protector layout for each month. There are pockets and fold-outs and lots of different ideas for altering the page protectors to include several photos for each month.
“Adding Details” Date: Tuesday, March 13th Date: Tuesday, March 27th In this class Lynnette will show you how to add those finishing touches to your page with embellishments, die cuts, punches, ribbons, textures & dimensions. This class will enhance your layouts to the next level. art.ol.ogy Beginning Scrapbooking - “Scrapbook Basics” In this class Lynnette will explain basic tools and adhesives used in creating your scrapbook, how to organize your photos, and create your scrapbook layouts. You will also learn matting techniques used to put the spotlight on your photos. Build Your Card Stash – Graphic 45 We’ll be using the fabulous new Graphic 45 papers and embellishments to create these beautiful one of a kind cards to add to your card stash. This gorgeous new paper line makes these cards the ones you will want to keep for yourself! Get a head start on building your card stash! Stop in the store to see the samples up close… Copic Basic ~ Darker Skin Tones Date: Thursday, March 15th Date: Saturday, March 24th Copic Basic is designed to teach you the pertinent information on how to properly use your Copic markers. You don’t want to miss this class. Liz Thogersen is now the Doodle’s Intermediate Certified Copic Designer and brings a new technique to this class...and look at the fabulous Loralie Images you will be using for your designs. In this class, we will focus on the darker skin tones. Copic Advanced ~ Best Friends Date: Thursday, March 22nd Date: Saturday, March 24th Copic Advanced classes are designed to take you beyond the art of coloring – new and different techniques each month. This month’s class we’ll focus on several different distressing and texturizing techniques as well as shading. You will love to share this card with that special person! This class will offer several Loralie Stamp designs for you to choose from and lots to learn! Hope to see you in class! Recipe Club At the meeting you will get a pre-cut kit to create a 6x6" scrapbook page designed around that months spotlight recipe and get to taste a sample of the recipe. Each month one club member will have the chance to be the guest chief and share their own recipe with the club. At the end of the year you will have 11 new recipes to cook for your friends and family! “Telling The Story” Date: Tuesday, March 6th Date: Tuesday, March 20th Lynnette will center this class on creative writing techniques for scrappers. She will give you severl creative tips for creating titles and telling you story through your scrapbook pages. Vintaj Jewelry Creations Date: Saturday, March 17th offered again on Date: Tuesday, March 20th You asked for it…join in and learn all about the fabulous new line of Vintaj Jewelry pieces. In this class you will learn 4 different techniques used to create fabulous charms that you attach to the Vintaj Chain Necklace included in your kit! This is a must take class for those of you that have been asking about the new Vintaj line. We’ll be using the Vintaj Embossing folders as well as heat embossing, sanding, inking, beading and just plain having fun. Note: Some items in class kit may vary slightly. |
